About the new race format:
1. Only the 5 uphill stages (about 15.7km with 1325m climb) will be counted towards the race results of the 26km race.
2. Apart from the 5 designated uphill stages, time used for the non-competition sections will not be counted towards the race result. Runners can take rest in these non-competition sections.
3. There is time limit for the non-competition sections (about 10km long with mainly downhill paths). If the time used exceeds the time limit of each non-competition sections, the excess time will be added to the race result.
4. Prizes for the 26km race will be awarded according to the “THE TOP Climber” results.
[The fastest male and female runner who completed the entire 26km race (including the 5 designated uphill stages and rest of the non-competition sections) will be awarded with an additional trophy.]
[Traditional format (timed from start to finish) is adopted in 40km and 2km races.]
